THE AUTUMN COLORS.....of PA

The tree in the neighbors backyard....the inner part of the tree was still green while the outer leaves were bright oranges, yellows and reds! |
This picture was taken up at our hunting camp near Tionesta....a road that travels through the dense trees in the Allegheny National Forest. |

a dead tree. WOW!! Actually, I was looking up from the trunk of the tree....it was near the official indian graveyard that my father has "played up" over the years. |
The hillside near our camp in Tionesta. It was important to me that the entire picture was in clear focus to see the detail on the trees in the distance as well as the two close-by. |

I took this picture about 3 steps out the front door of the camp. I loved the shadows of the tree trunks against the wonderful colors of the leaves! Great contrast. My dad called me out to see a hawk...but of course, he forgot to lower his voice when he called for me...so the hawk flew away. |
Using my macro lens....I saw these little mushrooms along the forest floor. I loved the way they were perched on the edge of the fallen tree. |
|
Cattails at the local country club. I asked my nephew Brad to take me out so I could get pictures of the resident geese....well, the geese were too far away for even my 170-500 mm zoom lens so I took some pics of the surrounding area. |
This picture is absolutely amazing! I went to Grove City College the day before I left.....I took some time to walk over along the path that goes through the woods near Wolf Creek. The colors of this tree were a perfect reflection off the water....I couldn't resist. I actually had this picture blown up and it's magnificent! I used a larger aperture setting to have clarity in the reflection. |
