17 Mile Drive through Pebble Beach on the way to Carmel

The 17 mile drive is known for the numerous deer that frequent people's front yards - in this case, the golf course

a large California Ground Squirrel - they live in the rocks that line the bay and coast areas

the ground squirrel let me get within 2 feet to snap his picture.  notice the spotted fur

this large rock was covered with cormorants (birds) and harbor seals.  you could sit and watch the harbor seals playing in the water
