OPSAIL MIAMI 2000

I went to Miami the weekend of June 10th 2000 to watch the "Parade of Sails".   OpSail - an armada of Tall Ships (13 class A ships, 8 class B & C and a few military vessels) made it's way into port from San Juan Puerto Rico- The boats are stunning - watching the crewman standing on the rigging - seeing them drop sail after they clear the inlet....it's breathtaking!  I took these pictures while sitting on south beach...it was the closest I could get to the boats when they left - i wasn't able to set up my tripod so I had to make do with my 500mm lens.
